Last August 23, 2023, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) acknowledged the heroism of the nineteen (19) Filipino seafarers of Navios MV Fleur N by giving the 2023 Bagong Bayani Award – Community and Social Service Award. It was a privilege for us, KJCM Maritime Corporation, to nominate and we are grateful that the act of heroism and remarkable effort of both Officers and Ratings of MV Fleur N under Navios Containers Management Inc. in rescuing refugees drifting in Mediterranean Sea last June 8, 2021, was acknowledged by the DMW. This heroism was also recognized by MARINA during the celebration of the Day of the Seafarer, given last June 25, 2021. The House of Representatives also released a resolution no. 250 commending the Filipino seafarers last July 26, 2021.
