Epsilon’s Commitment to Cadet Development

Epsilon’s Commitment to Cadet Development

We have recently completed a series of sessions, which aim to nurture and further grow our most valuable talent resources i.e., our cadets.

The first focused on “Mental Awareness: How to Deal and Overcome Stress Onboardships.” Our esteemed guest speaker, Engr. Ryan Anthony R. Mercene, PhD, provided invaluable insights to our cadets, preparing them for their future roles at sea.

Moreover, we offered a dedicated session on critical security and safety measures for navigating high-risk areas. During this training, cadets learned about best practices for piracy prevention, the use of citadels, and the implementation of Best Management Practices to Deter Piracy and Enhance Maritime Security in High-Risk Areas. These skills are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the vessel and the safety of all crew members when transiting through high-risk zones. This monthly training is led by CDM Alexander N. Rapita, PhD and ensures that our cadets are proficient in anti-piracy drills, security watch procedures, and emergency response protocols.

Anchored in the principles of resilience and mental fortitude, these sessions are designed to ensure our cadets are well-equipped to navigate the challenges of life onboard. By fostering a supportive environment and promoting mental well-being, we aim to chart a course for a safer, more efficient workforce.
