Epsilon is proud to announce that our General Manager, Dr Konstantinos Poulis was elected as a Member of IMEC’s Recruitment & Training Committee during the organization’s Annual General Meeting. The Committee is the core body of maritime practitioners responsible for overseeing various initiatives including the Cadet Training Enhanced Programme or the Rating to Officer Scheme. Dr Poulis’ term comes as a continuation of Epsilon’s long-standing leadership within IMEC and as a widespread recognition of Epsilon’s status in the industry.
During the event, Dr Poulis also delivered an invited keynote speech to IMEC members on the topic of “Value Migration: Unmanned Vessels and Industry Transformation”. The presentation sparked a thought-provoking debate on the future of human resources at sea and stimulated a discussion on the ramifications associated with the digital transformation of the shipping industry.
